چکیده

ZnO nanoparticle was successfully prepared by microwave irradiation method in various oxygen/nitrogen ratio atmospheres. In the present method, steel wool was used as a heat generator by microwave irradiation. The highest heating rate of ~200°C/sec for the reaction was achieved under the highest oxygen concentration, 80%, whereas the lowest hating rate was ~40°C/sec. The product prepared in a low oxygen ratio atmosphere showed tetra pod shape with high aspect ratio, c/a. On the other hand, the product prepared under high oxygen ratio atmosphere was relatively isotropic. PL spectra of the products with the higher aspect ratios showed higher UV emission intensity than the products with low aspect ratios i.e. isotropic shape. ©2009 The Ceramic Society of Japan. Microwave-assisted Decomposition of two Simple Zinc(II) Schiff Base Complexes: A Facile and Fast Route to Synthesize ZnO Nanostructures

ZnO nanorods and nanoparticles have been easily prepared via the decomposition of two simple Schiff base zinc (II) complexes, namely (N,N'–disalicylalethylenediamine)zince(II) and (N,N'–disalicylalphenylenediamine)zince(II) under microwave irradiation. The decomposition products of the complexes were characterized by FT-IR, XRD, SEM, EDX and UV-visible spectroscopy.  FT-IR, XRD and EDX results ...

Microwave synthesis of zinc sulfite and porous zinc oxide microrods.

ZnSO(3) microrods with uniform size and shape can be prepared under microwave irradiation at much higher speed than a conventional heating bath, usually in minutes. The annealing of ZnSO(3) microrods produced porous ZnO microrods with pore size between 50-200 nm.
